Supplemental Materials

ICML allowed supplemental materials last year, but we have decided not to contine the practice this year. Our motivation is that we want to encourage people to write stand-alone papers, not just extended abstracts. We also do not way to burden reviewers unnecessarily. If there is material that you believe is critical to the evaluation of your paper, it needs to be included in the paper.

However, we will not prevent you from including an anonymous URL to your materials in the body of your paper. There are dozens of suitable hosting services for videos and other materials. We will instruct reviewers that they may choose to use or not use this information to evaluate the paper. As long as the URL is anonymous, including it will not impact your reviews negatively.

Of course, in the final version of the paper, you'll be able to replace the anonymous URL by a link to your own web site. We may even provide a means to upload attachments at that stage, although we have not yet decided on a detailed approach.
